The Carlson Law Firm Organizes Timely Blood Drive Amid Peak Crash Season

[KILLEEN, TX]—The Carlson Law Firm is pleased to host a blood drive scheduled for August 27, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the firm’s Killeen headquarters located at 100 E Central Texas Expressway, Killeen, TX.

This is the Carlson Law Firm’s second blood drive in Killeen this year. The timeliness of this blood drive is underscored by the statistical increase in critical car crashes during summer, resulting in a greater need for life-saving blood transfusions. As the nation continues to contend with a blood shortage, this campaign is The Carlson Law Firm’s third blood drive this year. 

Baylor Scott & White Blood Center’s mobile unit will be stationed in the firm’s parking lot, on the Expressway’s frontage road, providing easy access to people driving by from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Donors are encouraged to schedule their donation at this blood drive by visiting https://bswbloodcenter.org/donorportal/ and selecting The Carlson Law Firm campaign.

Donating is easy and has minimal requirements. According to BSW guidelines, donors should:

• Be at least 17 years old 
• Have a form of picture identification such as a driver’s license or an employee badge
• Eat a good meal and drink plenty of water before donating
• Be in general good health and feel well at the time of the donation

One blood donation can save up to 3 lives and takes about 45 minutes. The donation process will include registration, vitals, a short interview, donation and snacks.

In addition to the satisfaction of contributing to the local blood supply for critically injured patients, donors will receive a 32-ounce stainless steel thermal cup, while supplies last.
