Very few law firms operating at a national level can say they have humble origins in Killeen, Texas. However, this is exactly the story of The Carlson Law Firm.
Since opening its doors in October 1976, The Carlson Law Firm has expanded from a single office in Killeen with a handful of attorneys to 16 locations nationwide and over 200 employees. The law firm has three locations in the heart of Central Texas—Killeen, Temple, and Waco. Just in 2021 alone, the firm has opened two new locations—one in Kerrville and one in Baytown.
“As a community-focused law firm, when we started planning for this year’s Party With a Purpose, we knew that we wanted to find a way to celebrate the community that has been the foundation of our growth and continued success in helping Texans in need of legal assistance,” Chief Operating Officer Lisa Griffin said.
Carlson Cares celebrated the monumental occasion by hosting an event at the firm’s Killeen location on Oct. 2. The firm offered games, prizes, free dessert, and a chance to dunk an attorney. In addition, the firm drew tickets to give away a $1,000 Kalahari gift card to our lucky winner Kelly S. All proceeds raised from the fundraiser benefitted local volunteer firefighter organization Central Bell Fire & Rescue.
The firm is thankful for the continued support from locals who see The Carlson Law Firm as more than a law firm.
“After retiring from the military, Central Texas became my home,” Managing Partner Craig Carlson said. “Like so many in the Killeen, Temple, and Belton area, my wife, who is also a veteran, and I chose to plant roots and raise our family here. It means a lot to us that we’re able to celebrate this milestone and put together an event like this to raise money for these volunteer firefighters. We’re blessed to be able to celebrate like this with a community that has embraced, accepted and supported us.”
