Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives.
[KILLEEN, TX]—The Carlson Law Firm and Baylor Scott & White will host a Valentine’s Day Blood Drive on February 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the firm’s Killeen headquarters, located at 100 E Central Texas Expressway, Killeen, TX.
Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion. This American Red Cross statistic is especially alarming because the current rate of blood donations in the U.S. is at its lowest in the past 20 years, resulting in an emergency blood shortage.
Blood donors are urgently needed, and The Carlson Law Firm is proud to collaborate with Baylor Scott & White Health to make a meaningful impact on those in need. Together, they aim to unite the Killeen community in the spirit of compassion and support.
“As personal injury attorneys, we closely witness the importance of timely help in an emergency,” said Michael Erskine, Personal Injury Partner at The Carlson Law Firm. “Together, we can ensure that when emergencies happen, help is ready and waiting. Your donation could be what turns tragedy into survival.”
Event Details:
· Name: The Carlson Law Firm Blood Drive

Healthy individuals aged 17 and older are encouraged to donate to help Bell County patients depending on this lifesaving blood. Donating blood is a simple yet extraordinary act of kindness that can have profound impacts on both recipients and donors.
“Regular donation of blood has been linked to better heart health for donors. Donating blood can lower blood pressure as well as reduce the risk of a heart attack,” said Christopher Gonzalez, MD, medical director of blood donor services, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple.
“Each donation has the potential to save up to three lives, providing patients with the necessary components vital for surgeries, treatments, and emergencies. Donated blood plays a crucial role in supporting and treating patients with medical conditions such as cancer, anemia, and various other injuries and diseases,” said Kimberly Lally, MD, medical director of transfusion medicine, Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, “and that’s something both donors and recipients can feel really good about.”
“A single donation could be the lifeline someone is waiting for,” said Lisa Griffin, Chief Operating Officer at The Carlson Law Firm. “This Valentine’s Day, let’s spread love by giving the gift of life.”
