Cheryl Powell Recognized as a Top 40 Professional & Entrepreneur in Austin

ROUND ROCK, Texas— Carlson Law Firm attorney Cheryl Powell has been named one of the Top 40 Professionals & Entrepreneurs by the Austin Black Business Journal.  

Powell’s selection as a top professional in Austin is a testament to the dedication and excellence she serves her clients as a family lawyer.

After carefully reviewing over 250 nominations, the Austin Black Business Journal selected 40 nominees who consistently display exceptionalism in their professional endeavors and outreach initiatives. 

“I am honored to be recognized by the Austin Black Business Journal for this award,” said Powell. “The honorees are all amazing professionals in their fields, and I’m truly humbled to be among them and hear about the impact they are making in the community.”

As a family law attorney, Powell dedicates herself to serving families in Austin with compassion. Before Powell joined The Carlson Law Firm, she ran her own practice, handling family, criminal, education, and employment law. Now, working out of The Carlson Law Firm’s office in Round Rock, she diligently serves her clients across five counties with honesty and kindness.

The top 40 honorees were invited to receive their awards at the Achievements in Black Austin – A Juneteenth Jubilee event on Saturday, June 22 at the Community Impact Center in Austin.
