Keniuh Russell from Killeen High School and Jason Martin from Shoemaker High School the two recipients of the Carlson Cares Scholarship will both be attending Prairie View A&M this fall.
“In their applications, I saw two students who were not only outstanding academic applicants, but also had the resolve to stand for what they believe in, which is a value our firm admires,” Managing Partner Craig Carlson said. “As the first recipients of our Carlson Cares scholarship, Keniuh and Jason have set a high bar. We’re proud that we were able to provide them with a head start on their college careers.”
To be considered for The Carlson Law Firm’s Carlson Cares scholarship, each applicant had to submit a 300-500 word essay about a time their values or beliefs were tested and how they handled the situation. Further eligibility requirements included the following:
The newly established scholarship will expand to more districts in the coming year.
