The Carlson Law Firm Awards Two Central Texas Seniors Scholarships

KILLEEN, Texas — The Carlson Law Firm is pleased to announce that we’ve selected two outstanding seniors in the Central Texas area to award $1,000 scholarships when they head off to college this fall.  

Daylen Sauls from University High School will be attending Tarleton State in the fall and Cole Ralston from Holland High School is headed to Texas State Technical College. 

“We had a tremendous response to this year’s Carlson Cares Scholarship,” said Managing Partner Craig Carlson. “The candidates were strong, making the selection process extremely challenging. For that reason, this year, we decided to have runner-ups in addition to our scholarship recipients.”

Runner-ups include Abigail Trojanowski from Rogers High School, Adelyn Valle from Troy High School and Wylie Barrett from Thorndale High School.

To be considered for The Carlson Law Firm’s Carlson Cares scholarship, each applicant had to submit a 300-500 word essay or 2-3 minute video about how they’ve helped their community. Further eligibility requirements included the following:

• Must be a high school senior for the 2020-2021 school year
• Enrolled in a central school
• Must be headed to a Texas university or college for the 2021-2022 school year
• Submit an online application through the scholarship form
• Submit proof of enrollment
• Submit an unofficial transcript

Next year, the Carlson Cares scholarship will open to seniors all over Texas. 

“The success we’ve had these past two years is promising,” Carlson said. “We want to make sure any Texas senior who is doing amazing things for themselves and their community has an opportunity to pursue a Carlson Cares scholarship.”
