Experience on your side

The daughter of Jamaican immigrants, Roxanne was born in Detroit, Michigan, but raised in Decatur, Georgia. She decided to pursue a legal career because she has a heart for people dealing with difficult situations. Clients can count on her to fill the gaps that exist between the average person and the court system. Her ability to explain the law to clients to help them make decisions is why they choose Roxanne as their attorney.

Like many of her clients, Roxanne came to the Killeen area because of the military. While her husband is now retired, she and her husband fell in love with the community and decided to make it their permanent home. Because of her proximity to the military, she understands firsthand the challenges that many military families face as they navigate complex family law matters such as dealing with custody across state lines, asset division and more.

Roxanne graduated summa cum laude from the prestigious Howard University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to receive her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2017. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Texas.

Prior to coming to The Carlson Law Firm, Roxanne worked for a small boutique firm in Georgia. Now, she handles all things family law at The Carlson Law Firm including divorce, adoption, child custody, child support, CPS, enforcements, modifications, name changes, pre and post-nuptial arrangements, and more.

She values her life experiences that have allowed her to mentor and uplift clients and her community. For example, before marrying her husband, Roxanne was a single mother while working her way through law school. Despite speed bumps along the way, she was able to accomplish her goals and uses her story to remind others that they can do the same. Through her practice, she hopes to be the beacon of hope that her clients need.

Roxanne believes that some of her biggest blessings come from working with her team to get positive results for her clients. She prides herself in the work that she and her coworkers are able to do for clients who come in with very little hope about their situations.

As a mother and wife, she understands the value of family and the importance of getting favorable and fair resolutions for all parties in family law matters.

When she is not representing clients, Roxanne loves her family more than anything. You can find her spending quality time with her husband, three daughters and son. Her family and devotion to her faith motivate her every day. She enjoys watching movies and is active in her church. She has plans to participate in more Central Texas community outreach programs.
