Bill Rossickās personal and professional priority is being a servant and ambassador of God to his community. His teammate on this mission in his personal life is his beloved wife Lesa where they share many philanthropic endeavors.
Professionally, Bill is a talented trial attorney and certified mediator who has worked and tried cases on both sides of the docket since first being licensed to practice law in Texas in 1994. In his first year of law practice at an insurance defense law firm in Houston, Bill first-chaired his first of many cases to a jury trial verdict.
From 1996 to 1999, Bill practiced law at the Houston office of an AmLaw 100 law firm (Shook, Hardy & Bacon) where he was part of a national team defending pharmaceutical cases across the country. Bill later practiced law at a medium sized regional law firm in Texas where he focused on defending hospitals in medical malpractice cases. After moving to Austin in 2003 to open up the satellite office of a Houston based insurance defense firm, Bill grew that office to include three additional attorneys focusing on toxic tort cases.
In 2008, Bill seized the opportunity to build experience representing plaintiffs with on-the-job injuries by joining the law firm led by former State Bar of Texas president, Richard Pena. In 2010, Bill joined forces with two other colleagues to form the law firm of Putonti, Escover and Rossick focusing on representing individuals who were harmed by the negligent acts of others.
Later in 2011, Bill became the first lawyer to initiate litigation on behalf of a family whose home was destroyed in the 2011 Bastrop County Complex Fire which destroyed more than 1200 homes. That lawsuit later grew to be the largest lawsuit ever filed in Bastrop County when hundreds of other individual plaintiffs and dozens of insurance companies joined the litigation. With that progression, Bill was appointed as co-lead liaison counsel for the individual plaintiff attorney group consisting of more than a dozen separate plaintiff attorney law firms. Through these efforts, Bill successfully resolved that case on behalf of 67 families whose property was destroyed by the fire, included the family of one woman who perished in the fire.
In 2013, Bill opened up his own law firm focusing 100 percent on representing families with serious personal injuries and victims of fire and professional negligence (medical and legal malpractice). When the Hidden Pines Fire in Bastrop County burned over 4,582 acres and destroyed 64 homes in October 2015, Bill represented nearly all property owners who were damaged by that fire.
After the Hidden Pines Fire, Billās peers elected him as officer of Capital Area Trial Lawyers Association (CATLA) and later served CATLA President from 2019 to 2020. In June 2020, Bill joined the North Austin office of the Carlson Law Firm.
Prior to law school, Bill was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Aviation Branch where he attained the rank of Captain. He served on active duty from 1985 ā 1990 and was last stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
