Nick served in the United States Marines from 2005 to 2009. He became a lawyer because he was attracted to the idea of standing for a cause through the use of the law. Having always been in service jobs, Nick finds joy in the work he does through assisting his clients daily. Being honest and forthright with clients is something that he has found is one of the best foundations for building a successful case, and Nick brings that earnestness with him in his return to West Texas.

Clients should know that Nick will give his complete attention and focus on ensuring their matters is handled with the highest care and competency. He will do all he can to ensure clients receive the damages they are entitled to. Nickā€™s incredible desire to learn and acquire knowledge is an asset. Once he learns something, he can utilize that knowledge in creative and impactful ways to help benefit clients.

Nickā€™s primary focus at The Carlson Law Firm is representing clients who were victims of personal injury, medical malpractice, and sexual assaults. One of his most notable cases resulted in a $4 million jury verdict award in Fort Bend County.

Nick also previously served as a prosecutor in Williamson County, representing the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Helping protect and keep children safe has been one of the highlights of his legal career.

Familiar with Lubbock, Nick is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law; he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas State University, graduating magna cum laude.

He is a member of the Lubbock County Young Lawyer Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Nick was also a 2014-2017 Senior Fellow at the Academy for Leadership in the Legal Profession.

During his time in the Marines, Nick served in aircraft supply as an expeditor for an F/A-18 squadron and instructed Marines and Naval personnel in martial arts under the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program from 2008 to 2009.

Nick is likely to enjoy spending time with his family when heā€™s not practicing law. A dedicated Star Wars fan, he has also been a 25-year Houston Astros supporter. One of his favorite moments was going to Game Two of the 2017 American League Championship Series. In 2005, Nick earned his Eagle Scout Award in the Boy Scouts of America.
